The African Diaspora Entrepreneurship Challenge (ADEC) is a pioneering and transformative entrepreneurship competition strategically crafted to empower and champion diasporan Africans in establishing and managing businesses that forge robust economic and social ties between African countries and their diaspora. The program is uniquely focused on stimulating ventures within key sectors, including tourism, education, entertainment, and other industries offering promising opportunities for innovation and cross-border collaboration.

This initiative will be undertaken in close partnership with investment promotion agencies (IPAs) across the continent and other allied entrepreneurial ecosystem  partners  to harness their exceptional expertise in fostering investments and cultivating entrepreneurship in their respective countries.

Through this initiative, the program seeks to engage and inspire a new wave of diasporan entrepreneurs to identify untapped opportunities and drive the growth of businesses that have a profound and positive impact on both African countries and the diaspora.

By placing a strong emphasis on businesses operating in tourism, education, entertainment, and other relevant sectors, the ADEC aims to nurture enterprises that act as bridges, connecting African countries and their diaspora on multiple levels. These businesses will not only facilitate trade and investment but also foster cultural exchanges, knowledge transfer, and meaningful partnerships between African communities worldwide. The competition envisions strengthening the sense of belonging and pride among diasporan Africans and promoting a shared vision for the continent’s progress.

The strategic partnership with the IPAs will bring a wealth of experience and resources to the ADEC. As prominent agencies responsible for promoting and facilitating investment in their respective countries, the IPAs will play a pivotal role in providing expert guidance, policy insights, and access to a vast network of potential investors and stakeholders. Together, GEN Ghana and the IPAs will establish an enabling environment for diasporan entrepreneurs to thrive and contribute to Africa's inclusive economic growth.

In summary, The African Diaspora Entrepreneurship Challenge (ADEC) is an ambitious and forward-thinking initiative that will create a vibrant ecosystem that fosters entrepreneurship, empowers communities, and strengthens the ties that bind Africans together across borders.
